About Kiwanis

The Kiwanis Club of Silverton has been a driving force since 1963 in improving the quality of life in the Silverton community, especially for children. A local community service organization, the Kiwanis Club of Silverton is part of Kiwanis International.

Founded in 1915, Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. Our motto is “Serving the Children of the World.” In addition to the Pet Parade, the Kiwanis Club of Silverton is responsible for many local annual events including Letters to Santa, Every Child A Swimmer, Great Grown-Up Spelling Bee, Terrific Kids citizen program, Silverton High School Key Club, and Student Educational Scholarships, to name a few.

The Kiwanis Club of Silverton meets 7:00 AM Thursdays at Main St. Bistro & Coffee (201 E. Main St. in Silverton), with the last meeting of the month held at Noon.
